Dyslexia Alliance for Black Children (DABC) is a non-profit organization based in New York. Their work focuses on addressing the issues surrounding dyslexia and related learning differences in Black communities.
With this logo design, I was focused on two main things: 1. Readability, according to best practices for dyslexia-friendly design, and 2. Scaleability, as the client required flexibility to fit their logo on branding collateral of different sizes and shapes.
I started with several concepts, all with the requested book motif. The client chose their preferred logo, the simplest book design with a thick, legible typeface.
